Established in 2011, Karoo Retreat is situated on half a hectare of land in the heart of the beautiful historical town of Oudtshoorn, conveniently close to both the Garden Route and Route 62. Our luxury self-catering villa accommodation offers a unique base from which to enjoy and explore the beauty of the Western Cape. The uniqueness of Karoo Retreat is the serene space surrounded by thorn trees and olive trees — a very peaceful, safe setting just 1km from the centre.
The feeling at Karoo Retreat is a mix of authentic Karoo ambiance felt between traditional stone walls and whitewashed buildings. The interior is very minimalistic and modern. The stylish and spacious villas overlook a refreshing 20-metre lap pool, a feature Karoo Retreat is loved for. Ideal for a romantic stay, a business trip, or a family break — the villas have a fully equipped kitchenette with all necessary items.
