The feeling at Karoo Retreat is a mix of authentic Karoo ambiance tangible between traditional stone walls and whitewashed buildings. The interior is very minimalistic and modern. The stylish and spacious villas overlook a refreshing 20 meter lap pool,a feature Karoo Retreat is loved for. Karoo Retreat is ideal for a romantic stay over or a business trip or a family break away. The Villas have a fully equipped kitchenette with necessary items.

Stop for a walk in the herbal garden @ Schoemanshoek Church
Gin Tasting is just before the Cango Caves #blackmountaingin.
Go on a tour @ #cangoostrich farm
A great stop for younger kids – Animal farm and activities #wilgewandel.
Donkey cart and camel rides with a lot of water-sport. Last stop the world famous #cango caves.
Turn left and experience the #swartbergpass to Prins Albert and spend the day in this beautiful village.
Prins Albert’s cheese factory, a lot of antique shops, coffee shops and galleries.
A must is #lazylizzards chocolate cake.
Head back to #karooretreat through #meiringspoort and do a quick 15 min walk to the waterfall.
Next day from the #karooretreat head to Calitzdorp.
Stop at there 3 Wine farms #dekrans #boplaas #calitzdorpwinecellars
Drive up to Calitzdorp Dam with a bottle of wine and a picnic basket and stop for this spectacular view.
Best cake in Calitzdorp and homemade bread is at #roseofthekarooBest lamb pizza in S.A is @ #debakhuis

Next day head to Mosselbaai – Mossel Bay
